Adansonia digitata, commonly known as African Baobab, is a plant of the family Bombacaeae, and is widespread in a large part of Africa.
The pulp extracted from the shell of the fruit, Múcua, is rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, especially B vitamins and vitamins C and PP, fundamental for the development of the organism.
